Life is fair?

To battle the fierce fears,

Which attack our sole soul,

We should sometimes be allowed to cry aloud,

And apply a balm on our sore heart to help us soar high,

We need to shear the ego & the ‘I’, and see life through the sheer “eye“,

And let go of some of our limiting attributes and sum up our life.

The underlying requirement of human life, is a Piece of Peace,

To tide over, our tied shackles of problems and limitations.

We tend to assess if life is fair, but the truth that matters is, in this journey how did we fare?

I have used homophones in each line of this piece and tried to bring out the gist of life. Hope you all enjoy it.

Where does it hurt?

background-1298015__340.png

Why do we feel hurt,

By words someone has spoken…

Where do we feel it and where does it pain??

Where do the tears flow from ??

The wounds and the scars of the older wounds aching and hurting,

Are intensely etched and ingrained,

Somewhere in the deep crevices of our being…

The words are spoken arrows,

Hitting the target of the concentric circles, of the emotional dart board,

Bringing out the hidden emotions of anger, sadness and frustrations to the brink,

To ooze out of us.

We demand an apology, and rightly so..

Lest, to satisfy our ego,

But, my dear friends, Do you think that’s the way to go??

Apology, is a must,

Not from the person who shot arrows of words on us,

But from ourselves to US,

For having suppressed the emotion within and for blaming it outside of us.

A big shout out of Thank You to the person who speaks thus,

To help trigger the release of emotion buried within us,

To bring about the emotional upheaval from within,

To facilitate our true healing !!

Flaunt your Gratitude, not Attitude!!

via Daily Prompt: Flaunt

When we let go of gratitude

We open the doors of life to attitude,

It Brings along a host of its dubious pals,

And we fall prey to their numerous calls,

We then flaunt arrogance, anger, stature and ego in style,

Giving them the unintended importance, for the next mile,

Till we realize our callous attitude,

Which makes us crumble in solitude,

We need to make amends of humongous magnitude

To recall and restore the lost GRATITUDE !!
