Someplace, far away,

Under the soft blanket of the blissful blue sky,

Where there are no tears, no sorrows,

No fears, no stress, no hurry for tomorrow

I would like to stay and truly live my life..

Where there is compassion and love,

Where there is a treasure chest of goodness to shove,

Where there are rains of peace and harmony from above,

Where I could take a flight in the unchartered universe,

Where I could flutter around gathering the nectar from the life’s deep caverns,

Where I could be myself, without being torn apart playing different roles,

Those days…

There are days in life,

When things just happen,

Thoughts just flow freely,

We feel satisfied and content,

Full of life, happiness and energy..

There are days, when we don’t need phones, gadgets or televisions,

The days when we can just hum and sing along for hours,

The days when we can cook a meal with all love flowing through..

                                 *

The days when we practice compassion and gratitude,

The days we have oodles of patience to deal with the tantrums of our little children,

The days when we are able to put up with the whims and fancies of people around us,

The days when nothing can possibly trigger our anger  and irritation.

                                   *

Those are the days, We meet our true self,

That’s the way we all are created,

That’s the way we are all meant to be.

                                   *

So, lets adopt a simple smile,

Imbibe a little peace and calm,

Lets have a little laugh till our stomach hurts,

And lets keep the stress away for a while.

                                   *

Lets all become a little aware,

And  put it into practice..

For a day might arrive,

We can just go with the flow of life,

Give ourselves another chance,

To dance and sway to life’s trance.

Emotional Roller Coaster

Some days, we ride high on our emotions,

We are on the verge of a euphoric intoxication,

Yet some other day, we are stifled,

By our very own thoughts and emotions,

Dragging us on to the point of asphyxiation.

Suffocating thoughts, contaminating the globe,

People suppressing emotions, choking and bringing life to a close,

It’s a violation of rules and almighty’s codes,

We are the ignorant beings, witness to the various fearful roles.

Let us all pledge to observe the basic dictum of humanity,

Let us not abuse or harm one another by acts of cruelty,

Practicing kindness, compassion, affection, warmth and benignity,

Will take us close to love, peace, and amiability !!

In the court room

via Daily Prompt: Substandard

One day, in the court of God, a case was presented. A case where the entire human race was on a trial, because they were leading a substandard life. A life where there was a breach of contract, a contract with the Almighty, to live with love, peace, kindness and compassion.

The trial begun. The charges against the humans were many, serious and grave.

• The human beings have no connect with the source, the power within and outside of them.
• There is total disrespect for each other. Crimes against people, animals are on the rise.
• The acts of selflessness, love, compassion are things of the past.
• Life has become all about power, greed, hierarchy.
• Work, stress, anxiety and tension are in the drivers seat and are steering their life.
• The beautiful place called earth has been destroyed by causing serious damage to the environment. Melting glaciers, deforestation, pollution all in the name of advancement.
• Dependency on technology has robbed human life of it’s charm. Heavy use of gadgets takes away valuable time meant for human welfare.
• Families have been taken for granted. Dinner is in the presence of the huge “idiot box”, mobiles and other videos. Feeding kids is no longer a pleasurable activity for mothers. It is a task to be done for the day.
• People have become judgemental, always judging and evaluating people and situations, finding faults, playing the blame game, holding on to things.

God was shocked. The humans were my creations. I created them with lot of creativity and passion for them to experience life. They seem to have forgotten that I had filled their heart with love. Their memory of being relaxed, practicing silence and communicating with me, has been erased. They are in a mad rush, caught in a melee and are disturbed. They have slipped to the lowest form of existence.

Being the fountainhead of love, God delivered his verdict, without prejudice. He appointed a jury (group of learned scholars, spiritually advanced souls) to guide the  human beings who have gone astray, to bring them back to the path of love, peace, kindness, moral philosophy, ethical value systems and virtues of fairness and integrity !!

We are all in the path of evolution again…and the journey continues.

The Massive Bugs

Carrying anger, jealousy and hatred packed in a bag,

We are off to a journey of life with a swag,

Chasing the goodies of life, with a tag,

Leaving family, friends and love in a lag.

 

Struck by the massive emotional bug,

Has put a halt to the development of human chug,

Which is causing upheaval and turbulence,

Life is about neglect, irrational behavior, devoid of love and repentance.

 

There’s one other huge bug, called the electronic disorder,

In which you typically stare into a bright screen or monitor,

You commune with it all day and night,

Not caring to look at any picturesque sight.

 

There’s one for every family member,

To keep up with the mania and fad,

Recreations and breaks are on phones and ipads,

The affliction of this virus is a family malware.

 

Lets all get out of our systems, these massive bugs,

Lets practice silence and go hands free,

Where mind can hold kindness and compassion,

And hands can hold, hands of love and regain its lost attraction.
