Observing my little one for a few minutes, just set the thinking bells ringing in me…
How simple would it be, for an adult to be like a child bubbling with energy? Even though, we’ve all been through the stage of childhood, I guess, it would be next to impossible (exceptions prevail). And you would all agree with me if I describe her actions.
Watching the television, suddenly standing up, bending forward and bringing her head close to her thighs, standing, running from one end of the room to the other, dancing for a good 10-15 minutes, repeating the sequences. Phew, who needs aerobics or a zumba for a workout?!! π
And of course, if we ever did manage to do some such sequences, people around us are bound to label us as crazy. It’s the thought free and innocent mind of kids which allows them the freedom to perform sans inhibition !!!
My Gurudev says, ” Be childlike but not childish.” He always encourages us to be childlike in innocence, enthusiasm, purity etc.

Yes, true…Children forget and forgive very fast too…Actually, we all have childlike qualities. it’s the conditioning and the ways of the world that changes us and then we strive again to be like a child…A vicious cycle

So true. Childhood was full of freedom and innocence…People never took you seriously and that was an added advantage of its own.

A penny for my crazy thoughts………If there were an island, and only children were there, no adults, no old men,…may be children would grow up to be “adult children”
.Then would it be heaven on earth?!!!!!

I see you are mimicking what I get to see of the little bit of action that my little one is up to when she is not sleeping. They are so free of worries and thoughts of what the onlooker might think. Such a simple way of life. We would all be a lot slimmer if we were half as active, just that we would be spending the rest of our time with a psychiatrist and a worried family π
